WOOTON was found in Hong Kong in 2018 for contemporary art that centres on concept-oriented projects. In 2019, WOOTON GALLERY opened its art space in Changsha, China and has continued supporting emerging and established artists. To investigate the commercial value of contemporary art, WOOTON develops vibrant relationships with artists and works closely with international curators, critics, writers and art historians.

WOOTON regularly participates in art fairs such as Gwangju Art Fair (Gwangju, South Korea), ART 021 (Shanghai, China) and Beijing Contemporary Art Expo (Beijing, China). The gallery has exhibited works in a variety of media including painting, printmaking, photography, installation and video, representing artists based in Beijing, Shanghai and Australia. Today, the gallery has two exhibiting spaces through progressive exhibitions and dialectic projects. Through respecting individual ideas and creations, WOOTON provides a free and diverse community.
